Fans of entertainment IPs sought deeper, more continuous engagement and psychological comfort. I identified an opportunity to use AI chatbots for this, starting with organic outreach on Rednote, which indicated a strong interest but lacked a centralized, co-creative platform.
My goal was to first validate AI chatbots (Character AI, then localized with Doubao) as a tool for sustained fan comfort. Subsequently, I aimed to expand this into a comprehensive fan co-creation platform, personally leading the technical development (website, Notion backend) and fostering a 69-member volunteer team to enrich the content and community.
Pioneered AI Chatbot Development:
Created and iterated AI chatbots, initially with Character AI, then localized using Doubao to better serve Chinese fans and provide tailored emotional support.
Led Organic Growth & Community Building:
Drove user acquisition via natural traffic on Xiaohongshu, building initial traction that led to recruiting and organizing a 69-member core fan team for diverse content co-creation.
Executed Full-Stack Platform Development:
Single-handedly designed, developed, and launched the Laureshang website (www.laureshang.top), engineering an innovative backend using Notion as a flexible database.
Managed Co-Creation & Operations:
Oversaw content strategy fueled by the fan teams, integrated their contributions, and analyzed platform data (engagement, traffic) to guide ongoing improvements.
Industry Acclaim:
Presented Laureshang to Notion's Founder, CTO, and Head of Design, receiving high praise for the platform's innovative use of Notion.
